About the Roundhouse
Roundhouse is an iconic music and arts venue in Camden. Since the 1960’s we’ve opened up space for creativity to empower people and communities - day in, night out. We are on a mission to raise the creative potential of the UK so we give young people and artists the space to experiment, develop skills and be part of the incredible moments that go down in history.
The Role
This is an exciting time for the Roundhouse as we enter a new business plan, with ambitions to significantly expand our youth music programmes for young people aged 11 - 30yrs. This new role will design a new strand of programming to support young people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, through high quality and industry relevant training opportunities that will enable them to access the music industry. Working alongside our existing youth music offer as well as collaborating with the Head of Music on our live events, the Senior Youth Music Industry Programme Manager will devise and implement new initiatives that link Roundhouse’s broad music offer for young people to music industry partners.
Some weekend and evening work may be required according to business needs.
About You
We are looking for an experienced music industry professional to take a strategic lead in driving Roundhouse’s work to formalise music industry partnerships, and scale up progression pathways for young people into industry facing initiatives - ensuring that robust outcomes are delivered, evaluated and utilised to inform future initiatives.
We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own skills, experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same. We encourage those currently underrepresented across the cultural sector and all intersections of our diverse society to apply.
The successful candidate will be required to have a current and acceptable enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the role.
