We are currently seeking a Head of Communications to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As our Head of Communications, you will lead our external communications and public affairs strategy.

Raising the profile of our incredible work, you will shape our messaging across all media platforms and ensure consistency, cohesive narratives and key messages. You’ll also oversee our internal communications, working closely with our People Team and have responsibility for Crisis Communications.

Line managing the PR and Ambassador Manager, you will ensure their continued development and growth as well as the delivery of high-quality work. Externally, you will engage with journalists and other stakeholders to provide pathways to promote our organisation and drive engagement with what we do.

Additionally, you will:

- Develop and implement measuring and evaluation tools
- Oversee relationships with PR agencies
- Agree and manage the communications budget

About You

To be considered as our Head of Communications, you will need:

- Experience engaging and working with a range of journalists and key stakeholders
- Experience working at an operational and strategic level
- Management experience
- Knowledge of media across all platforms
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills

Please note, you must have a current and acceptable DBS check or be willing to undertake one.
