Chief Executive Officer
More details
The Roundhouse is one of the UK’s most iconic and pioneering cultural institutions, not only as a world-renowned arts venue and place of countercultural experience but as a pioneering creative youth and performing arts charity. Based in Camden, London, the Roundhouse brings together legendary music and performing arts with an ambitious programme for young people, enabling 11-30-year-olds from all over London to access the space, tools, and support to realise their creative potential.
As the Roundhouse approaches its 20th anniversary since reopening in 2006 as a world-class arts and creative youth centre and says goodbye to its longstanding Chief Executive & Artistic Director, Marcus Davey, the organisation is now looking ahead to a bold new decade. The charity is seeking a visionary new Chief Executive who will provide inspiring leadership across the organisation. Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive will deliver on strategic ambitions, from expanding the creative youth programmes to driving commercial growth and building long-term financial resilience, as well as playing a key role in ensuring the Roundhouse continues to have a bold, relevant, and inclusive artistic programme.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience from within a complex organisation, ideally within the cultural, creative, youth or wider not-for-profit sectors, with a strong track record of strategic delivery, financial acumen, and external advocacy. A champion of youth voice and artistic excellence, they will combine commercial instinct and fundraising expertise with a deep belief in the power of creativity to drive social change. This is a rare opportunity to lead a unique and deeply impactful institution with a global reputation, local impact, and a radical spirit at its heart.
