The Role
We’re looking for a new full-time Trainee Podcast Producer to work with the team running the award winning Transmission Roundhouse (TR). We produce the most creative and innovative audio-led content made by 18-25 year olds from the heart of one of London’s most exciting venues. This is a fantastic time to join the TR team as we prepare to move into our new state of the art podcast studio being built as part of the Roundhouse’s Creative Centre.
You will also have the chance to complete a 1-2 week placement at a partner audio platform, production company or relevant organisation. As well as supporting the audio based ideas of young creatives, the role involves working alongside the Broadcast and Digital Team to deliver content inspired by in-venue programming such as The Last World Festival, In The Round and working collaboratively with the film team.
You will receive internal and external training to further your skills and knowledge, this will include but is not limited to:
• Podcast Development including ideas generating and production planning.
• Project Management including budgeting.
• Studio Management including scheduling.
• Technical Development and gain wider understanding of DAWs (Digital Audio Workstation) including Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, Abelton etc.
• Peer Mentoring & Volunteer Management including creating personal development plans and monitoring progress
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative platform, so we’re looking for someone with studio and audio experience, who is enthusiastic about producing excellent audio, technical troubleshooting and works best when working with other people.
About you:
We’re hoping to find someone who wants to gain the skills and experience to carve their own career in the audio industry. You’ll work alongside the Senior Producer to recruit a new cohort of talented presenters and producers and support them to develop and produce podcasts and content. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the audio platform, building a roster of new shows, regularly supporting the emerging presenters and producers, and developing partnerships with community and industry based contacts as well as maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in the Roundhouse.
