About the Job
About the Roundhouse:
Roundhouse is an iconic music and arts venue in Camden. Since the 1960s we’ve opened up space for creativity to empower people and communities – day in, night out. We’re on a mission to raise the creative potential of the UK so we give young people and artists the space to experiment, develop skills and be part of incredible moments that go down in history.
The internship:
In partnership with Greenpeace and the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust, we are welcoming 2 interns to be part of the Roundhouse team in our iconic building. This is a practical programme, running 2 days a week over 4 months (16 weeks) with an 8-day onsite secondment at a UK Festival in June. The interns will also be supported by Creative Mentors from the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust.
This opportunity is open to those aged 21 - 25 looking to gain entry level skills and experience in the creative industries. We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own skills, experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same. We are keen to hear from young people who are under-represented in the live events industry or who have experienced barriers to accessing the industry.
The 4-month programme aims to equip interns with:
Knowledge of live events sector & practical experience of working in different teams within the Roundhouse workforce, and onsite with Greenpeace at a UK festival
Employability skills: support with CV and interviews, whilst being supported by a Creative Mentor from the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust.
Understanding of industry best practice and career development ‘in the field’ through a practical secondment at top UK Music Festival.
Please note: we will be recruiting 2 interns for this programme.
Our Internship Programme will start the week commencing 5th May 2025.

You are able to commit to an in-person internship, working 2 days per week, including potential evenings and weekends
You are able to commit to the full secondment (onsite placement) including the increased onsite hours during the month of June. Please note this secondment is out of London, however expenses in relation to this will be covered.
You are happy to be supported working outdoors in the field, even if this is something you have no experience in
You are looking to gain new experiences and engage with people from different backgrounds
This internship is NOT for you if:

You have already completed a paid or unpaid internship (of 3 months or longer) in the arts, production or events sector before
